Dream House Foundation is rooted in Sisyle Cell, Namatala, Industrial City Division, Mbale.
The community is home to an estimated 40,000 people, the majority of whom are young people under the age of 26.
Many families have come to the area after experiencing difficult circumstances, including civil unrest, drought, floods, and landslides, often in search of a better life.
Yet for many, the opportunities they hoped to find remain out of reach.
The consequences are visible in the lives of children, young people, women, and families experiencing hunger, sickness, unemployment, despair, and homelessness.
These challenges have contributed to issues including street-connected children, orphanhood, drug abuse, school dropout, teenage pregnancies, and early marriages.
Dream House Foundation believes that communities facing these challenges should not be defined by them.
We believe they can become places of creativity, opportunity, resilience, and hope.
Our work begins in Namatala.
Our vision is to create a model of community empowerment that can inspire change beyond Namatala.

Our story is connected to the realities of Namatala and to the belief that young people growing up in disadvantaged circumstances should have opportunities to discover their abilities and shape their futures.
The foundation’s work is deeply influenced by the power of creative arts.
Through art, dance, music, skateboarding, and fingerboarding, we seek to create spaces where young people can express themselves, develop confidence, build relationships, and discover new possibilities.
We believe that creativity is not a luxury.
For many young people, creativity can be a pathway to identity, belonging, confidence, skills, and opportunity.
Our story is therefore not simply about what we do.
It is about why we believe it matters.
Allan Bogere
Founder & Creative Director
Allan Bogere is the Founder and Creative Director of Dream House Foundation.
Driven by a passion for creative arts, youth empowerment, and community development, Allan provides the creative vision and leadership that guide the foundation’s work.
Through his commitment to creative expression and the empowerment of young people, he seeks to create opportunities where children and youth can discover their talents, build confidence, develop skills, and imagine a better future.
As Creative Director, Allan leads the foundation’s creative vision and works to ensure that art, creativity, sport, and self-expression remain powerful tools for positive social change.
His vision is simple:
To create spaces where every young person has the opportunity to discover what they are capable of becoming.
A child in Namatala goes to school.
A young artist discovers a talent.
A dancer finds confidence.
A skateboarder learns resilience.
A fingerboarder finds community.
A girl discovers that she belongs in the creative space.
An elderly person receives food, water, and essential supplies
A family affected by floods receives help.
A young person learns a skill.
A community discovers the value of its own resources.
And one day, a young person walks into the Dream House Intergenerational Youth Creative Centre and realizes:
“There is a place for me here.”
That is the dream.
Not simply to give people something.
But to create spaces where people can learn, create, belong, and become.
Not simply to respond to today’s challenges.
But to help build a better tomorrow.
Not simply to dream about change.
But to create it one child, one young person, one family, and one community at a time.
